What is OpenAthens?

OpenAthens is a secure log in system that gives you access to electronic resources including books, journals and databases.

All NHS staff are eligible to register for an NHS OpenAthens account.

You may have previously had an OpenAthens account when you were studying at University or working at a different organisation; however, registering for an NHS OpenAthens account ensures that you can access all the electronic resources purchased by your organisation and also those purchased on a national basis. Therefore you will need to register again selecting Chesterfield Royal Hospital as your employer.

To register simply complete the online registration form at https://openathens.nice.org.uk/
