The Skills Passport will enable you to check your compliance with your essential training and your training history. It can be accessed from smartphones, tablets and desktop computers (work or home).

New User

As a new user you will first login to the Skills Passport to update your password.


Login with your nhs.net email address and your four figure year of birth for your password – you will then be prompted to change your password (This must be at least 8 characters and include: upper and lower case letters and numeric characters).


This will take you through to your passport.

What you Need

All you require is your NHSmail address and login.


If you do not have an nhs.net email address you can contact IT help desk on ext 2646 who will assist you or you can obtain an NHSmail account by completing the self- registration process. (It is only possible to self-register from a Trust computer).


To complete the self-registration process go to the NHSmail home page and follow the instructions.

Skills Passport

At this point you should be able to see your training. If you click into your training you will see a list of essential training which has been identified as specific for your role.


You will see that the passport is colour-coded: 







There is also a number on the right-hand side of each row giving a countdown for updates.


You will also see at the bottom of the page it says history, click on this and you will see all of your training history.  You can download this if you wish.


Selecting an activity will provide you with information about the activity, for example, when the next face to face session will take place or if eLearning is available.

eLearning Portal

The Skills Passport will link to the eLearning Platform where you will be able to access eLearning modules that may be applicable to your role. 


You can gain access to the eLearning platform using your Skills Passport username and password.


All completed training including eLearning will be shown on your Skills Passport.
