Staying Safe in the Library

Where possible everything will be as you remember, but there are some important changes that have been put in place to ensure the safety of all our library members and the library team.

We’d like to draw your attention to some of the main changes, please familiarise yourself with them before your visit.

Moving around the Education Centre & Library

  • Hygiene is essential – please use the hand sanitiser on entry and when leaving the library.

  • In accordance with Trust advice we are asking that visitors maintain a 1 metre distance wherever possible.

  • Masks must be worn when walking around the library but can be removed whilst sat.

  • Additional cleaning will be in operation, with cleaning taking place throughout the day.

  • We also ask that you clean down your work station before and after use.

  • Toilets are available in the Education Centre to allow frequent hand-washing for library staff and visitors (Remember to wear your mask)

  • Please do not enter the library if you have any coronavirus symptoms.

Click and Collect Service

We have introduced a Click and Collect Service for books. The Service will be available for CRHFT staff and all students on placement. Books can be requested via the library catalogue and collected from the Education Centre Library.

Computer & Printer Access

  • You will be able to access computers but due to social distancing measures there are only 8 available, so please bear this in mind.

  • Your own laptops and iPads are still permitted for us use in the library.

  • You must wipe down the desk, keyboard and mouse before and after using the computer, using the clinell wipes provided.

  • Printer and scanning facilities are still available, but again we ask that you clean all touch points (using clinell wipes) before and after use.
