Health Education England and The Reading Agency have created a uplifting book collection and a supporting list of digital resources, all recommended by NHS staff, for NHS staff.

All ten books are available to loan from the Library, titles include; The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, Three Things About Elsie & The Salt Path

Oxford Medicine Online

1st April 2021

We have access to hundreds of Oxford Handbooks, Textbooks, Emergencies in.... and Specialist Handbooks

You can access Oxford Medicine Online directly here. Select 'Sign in via your Institution', search 'NHS England' and select, then enter your Open Athens login credentials.

 

Alternatively you can access them through your NHS Open Athens account. Under 'My Resources' click on the link for the 'Oxford Medicine Online'.

LibKey Nomad

One-Click Access to Articles

The library is excited to offer you one-click access to electronic articles through LibKey Nomad.

LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that detects available articles, notifies you of availability and connects you to the content in one-click. LibKey Nomad is active at the sites you’ll visit when looking for evidence-based research, including publisher pages, PubMed and more.

LibKey Nomad has already been installed on all Trust computers at Chesterfield Royal to allow you one-click access to research articles whilst you're in work to aid

evidence-based practice.

Kortext eBooks

We now have access to a large collection of eBooks via Kortext

The subject areas include key clinical topics, nursing, primary care and general practice, palliative care, health management, as well as mentoring and coaching titles.

Too access Kortext you will need to sign in to your NHS OpenAthens account. Under 'My Resources' click on the link for the Kortext eBooks, then click on the 'collections' tab to view the eBooks we subscribe to.  

Alternatively you can access Kortext directly here, and ​​search for 'Chesterfield Royal Hosptial NHS Foundation Trust' as your institutuional library.
