Patient Support Resources
We have a wide variety of patient support resources, to help our patients with dementia and autism.
The resources are to aid conversations between patients, staff and relatives, alleviate distress caused by unfamiliarity of being in hospital and offer information and support to carers, families and children.

We also stock games, puzzles, colouring books, jigsaws, and other items for all patients that could aid with boredom and distraction. There is a selection of fiction titles too that we keep in stock for the patient book trolley and these are free for patients to keep.
Book Trolley Service
The Patient Book Trolley service is organised by our library team and is run entirely by volunteers who give out books, magazines, word searches, crosswords and sudokus, to our in-patients.
The trolley is kept well stocked by donations from our lovely staff, friends and families. We are always in need of stock so if you would like to donate any books or magazines for the book trolley, please drop them off at the library in the Education Centre.
