NHS Open Athens

To access ejournals, eBook's and databases you will first need to register for an NHS Open Athens account. Open Athens is a secure authentication system, where you can set a username and password.

Register for an NHS OpenAthens account online.

Follow the instructions and find our organisation by typing in our name, ‘Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust’ and select. After you have submitted your details, you will be given a username and sent an email to activate your account and set a password. Please check your junk or spam folders.

If you previously held an NHS OpenAthens account while studying at university or working for another organisation, please let us know. We can transfer your account to our library service.

This will ensure you have access to all electronic resources purchased by our organisation, as well as national content.
