Students on Placement
We're passionate about providing you with all the necessary tools and support to help you excel whilst on placement at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Our extensive collection of resources are tailored to meet a wide range of research and study needs.

To access our services and resources you will need to register for our library and knowledge service.
​
Books
You may borrow up to 4 books at a time.
​
Our standard loan period for books is six weeks, however this will depend on the duration of your placement.
Books can be renewed up to 5 times (subject to recall from other borrowers and the duration of your placement).
Books can be returned to the library counter during staffed hours or by using the self-service machine located just inside the library.
eResources
Access our extensive eResource collections whilst on placement, including:

Whilst signed onto a Trust computer you will have full access to our eResource collections. If you are working on your own device onsite or at home, you will need to register for an OpenAthens account at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Study Space
Our spacious study areas provide the perfect environment for learning.
​
Whether you need to research, collaborate online or undertake eLearning; we have computers, printing and photocopying facilities for you to use.
Refreshments
Feeling peckish?

Enjoy our selection of refreshments as you work, recharge and refuel.

Our hot drinks include, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, latte as well as soups.

We also have an assortment of biscuits and crisps for you to chose. All items are available for under £1

Access our extensive eBook collections whilst on placement, including:

Hundreds of books from Oxford Medicine Online

Whilst signed onto a Trust computer you will have full access to our Oxford Medicine Online collection and nursing eBook collection. If you are working on your own device onsite or at home, you will need to register for an OpenAthens account at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
