Interlibrary Loan Service
If we don’t have the journal article that you’re looking for, we can usually source it for you through our inter-library loans service. If there is a book that we don't have in stock we may be able to purchase it or on exception borrow it from The British Library.
Who is this service available to?
The inter-library loans service is available to all our colleagues employed by Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Request an Article

Simply fill in our online request form.
Journal articles normally arrive within 1-5 working days and in most cases are sent electronically directly to your inbox as soon as they arrive.
Any articles fulfilled by The British Library are only available in print form, they need to be collected from us or posted out to you. A signed copyright declaration is also required.
Request a Book

Any books that are not part of our collection, may be available to borrow for a short loan period from The British Library or we may look to purchase the books and add them to our stock ( newer editions only).
All books requested from the British Library must be collected from and returned to the Education Centre Library.
The British Library establishes the loan period for the book and the return date is clearly noted inside the front cover. Renewals (at further cost) are only available with The British Library’s approval and not always available.
Overdue or unreturned
If the British Library book(s) isn’t returned to us on or before the return date any fines incurred will be charged back to the borrower.
Charges
The British Library do charge for this service which is paid for by Library & Knowledge Service. Therefore, please ensure that the reason for the loan is relevant and useful for patient care/research.
