If we don’t have either the journal article or book that you’re looking for, we may be able get it for you through our inter-library loans service.
Who is this service available too?
The inter-library loans service is available to all staff working at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, DCHS employees, as well as students on clinical placement and nursing students from the University of Derby in their 2nd and 3rd year.
How does it work?
Simply fill in our online request form.
As soon as the item(s) arrive you will be informed via email. Journal articles normally arrive within 1-5 working days and in most cases can be sent directly to your inbox. Books can take between 3-10 days to arrive.
If you are unable to collect your inter-library loan item or no longer need it, please contact us soon as possible.
British Library Books
All books requested must be collected from and returned to the Education Centre Library.
The British Library establishes the loan period for the book and the return date is clearly noted inside the front cover.
Renewals are only available with the British Library’s approval and not always available.
Overdue or unreturned
If the book(s) isn’t returned to us on or before the return date fines will be charged.
